Entity Types

Built-in and registered custom object kinds.

Built-in kinds

File, Directory, Table, Entity, Service, Api, BusinessRule, BusinessConcept, Dataset, Column, Pipeline, Dashboard, Person, Model, Prompt, Agent, Unknown.

Custom kinds

Custom(name) is an escape hatch. Each kind an analyzer emits is declared in the ekos_kir::custom_kinds registry with a structurally_keyed flag: true for kinds identified by a structural key (file path, manifest directory, source + index), which identity resolution then never treats as a merge candidate. A CI test fails if a pipeline emits an unregistered kind.

Examples: Section, Document, Page, Claim, Risk, Rollup, ProjectSummary, ArchitectureGap, Technology, TransformNode, Crate, RustModule, RustSymbol, PythonModule, PythonSymbol, ElixirModule, ElixirSymbol, JsModule, JsSymbol, PerlPackage, PerlSymbol, SameAs (relationship).

Kinds recovered from binaries (Binary*) are registered in the public schema so a ledger written by the extension build still resolves.
