Knowledge Model

KIR, the Canonical Knowledge Model, and the four semantic primitives.

The ledger stores four immutable primitives:

Primitive Description
Object Identity of a concept: a table, service, function, document
Relationship A semantic connection between two objects — first-class
Event An immutable change; the only mechanism that changes state
Evidence Origin of knowledge: a source location and fragment
Objects, relationships, evidence and events
Objects, relationships, evidence and events

Two representations

Name Role
KIR — Knowledge Intermediate Representation typed output of recovery; input to the semantic compiler
CKM — Canonical Knowledge Model resolved, evidenced model; language-, storage- and AI-provider-independent

A CkmObject carries an id, name, kind, properties, a primary description (the best evidence fragment), evidence sorted by confidence, and the source_artifact_ids it was compiled from.
